Ellen “Peg” Plut, 78, of Waynesburg died Tuesday, March 4, 2014, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.

She was born March 31, 1935, in Charleston, W.Va., a daughter of the late Raymond Guy Dulaney and Agnes Stoneking Dulaney.

She was married to George Robert Plut, who died in 1992.

A former resident of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Plut was a retired dietician for Vincentian Home.

Surviving are a son, Carl Plut of Pittsburgh; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Plut, Mary Plut, Samantha Plut, Allen Plut, Maston Casto, Dulaney Plut and Drake Plut; one great-granddaughter, Abigail Plut Moore; one sister, Opal Fonner, and six brothers, Buster, Kenneth, Carl, Melvin, Leonard and Sam Dulaney.

Deceased are two sisters, Hazel Dulaney and Elizabeth Prevost, and four brothers, Raymond, James, Glen and Ronald Dulaney.

A memorial gathering will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9, in the New Freeport Fire Hall, New Freeport, with services officiated by the Rev. Edward Woods.
