Benjamin Lee McConnell

Benjamin Lee McConnell, 21, of Blacksville, W.Va., died Saturday, March 8, 2014, of injuries sustained in an ATV accident.
He was born July 25, 1992, in Morgantown, W.Va., a son of Barry McConnell and Pansy Matthews McConnell of Sycamore.
Mr. McConnell was a 2011 graduate of West Greene High School. He was one of the founding members of West Greene Rifle Club.
He enjoyed hunting, riding ATVs and hanging out with friends.
Mr. McConnell was employed by Morgantown Utility Board.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a sister, Shaley McConnell of Blacksville; maternal grandparents Nimrod and Christine McCoy of Blacksville; aunts and uncles Jeff and Marcia McConnell of Wind Ridge, Linda McConnell of Prosperity, Perry and Jenny Matthews of New Freeport and Nimmie and Jennifer McCoy of Blacksville; and several great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.
Deceased are his paternal grandparents, Melvin and Lavonne McConnell.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, with the Rev. Freddie Eddy II officiating. Interment will follow in Olive Cemetery, Pentress, W.Va.
