Stephen Allen “Steve” Bee, 79, of Paris, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014, in Weirton (W.Va.) Medical Center.

He was born August 21, 1934, in Washburn, W.Va., a son of the late Benjamin Allen Bee and Clara Smith Bee.

Mr. Bee was a member of Eldersville United Methodist Church, having served as a trustee, a member of Hanover Volunteer Fire Department, volunteer at the Burgettstown area food pantry and a trustee for Chestnut Ridge Cemetery.

He retired after 37-and-a-half years of service at Weirton Steel Corp., having worked in the sheet department lab and refrigeration department. He retired as foreman for building services.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Gladys Rodgers Bee; sons Geary A. Bee (Kathy) of Weirton, Mark R. Bee (Catherine) of Clinton and David E. Bee of Winfield, W.Va.; sisters Sara Bayless of Mineral Ridge, Ohio, Judy Tate (Tom) of New Cumberland, W.Va., and Cynthia Harcharik (Richard) of New Cumberland; a brother, Michael A. Bee of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren Justin, Jessica and Ashley; and great-grandchildren Parker and Bailey Marie.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a son, James Michael Bee.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, W.Va., where the funeral/committal will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 12. Interment will be in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Florence.
