Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend

Constance Faye “Connie” Watson, 76, of Clarksville, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014, in her home, surrounded by her family.

She was a daughter of the late Jesse S. and Virginia M. Bungard Basinger, formerly of Lippencott.

Mrs. Watson was the beloved wife of George E. Watson, whom she married April 20, 1957. They had been loving and lifelong partners, raising three daughters, Debra Faye Watson, who passed away in January 1972, Tracy L. Walters and Mona Sue Lemley-Stull, both of Clarksville.

Also surviving are sons-in-law Ernie Walters and Sgt. Eric J. Stull; grandchildren Amanda L. “Rosebud” Tennant of East Pittsburgh, Carrie N. “Sunshine” Baker and husband Nathan “Chip” Baker of Brownsville, Travis Cody H. “Buddy” Lemley, Jarod William E. “Bookie” Stull, Zoey Erica M. “Zoebug” Stull, Nicole and Dan Pinchok and Cody Walters, all of Clarksville; great-grandchildren Zane J. “Brown-eyed Monkey” Tennant, Connor and Madison Pinchok, all of Clarksville, and Callie Reese “Callie girl” Baker of Brownsville; sister Mona Joyce Simmons; brothers Charles “Bud” Basinger, Ben and Karen Basinger and Bill and Doris Basinger, all of Lippencott; sisters-in-law Shirley Basinger and Phyllis Watson; several nieces and nephews; and many friends who were very special to her.

She leaves behind her “grand-furkids,” Emmie, Stryker, Daytona, Bristol and Jessey.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her oldest daughter, Debra Faye, and brothers Richard L. (Dick) Basinger, Harry (Wayne) Basinger and Edward A. Basinger.

She will be remembered by many friends and family for her cabbage rolls, potato salad, mush, Chex mix and especially her coffee that was always offered with love and a smile, no matter what day or time you knocked at the door.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation, The Gulf Tower, 707 Grant Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15219-1916, in honor of her great-grandson, Zane.

Family and friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Behm Funeral Homes, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, with the Rev. Carl Leipold officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township.
