Jane Piatt, 94, of Washington, died Saturday, December 2, 2017, in TownView Health and Rehabilitation Center, Canonsburg.

She was born November 10, 1923, in Jefferson, a daughter of George E. and Alice A. Lewis Baker.

Mrs. Piatt worked on the assembly line for Ford Motor Co. in her younger years. Then, for 29 years, she worked at Trinity High School cafeteria, a job she thoroughly enjoyed. Known as “Grandma Jane” to the students, she did not retire until the age of 82.

She loved to bake for family and friends. She enjoyed bowling and bowled with Tuesday Night Ladies Bowling League for 30 years.

Mrs. Piatt was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church.

On May 11, 1946, she married Warren G. Piatt, who died September 7, 2013.

Surviving are three sons, Kenneth Piatt of Scenery Hill, John (Susan) Piatt of Washington and Bill (Gerry) Piatt of Washington; two brothers, Dale Baker of Mississippi and Art Baker of Florida; five grandchildren, William Jr., Jared, Amanda, Brian and Jeffrey; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Deceased are two brothers, Wilson and Royce Baker, and three sisters, Ruth Ann Weaver, Patricia Nickels and Sara Ida Marshbanks.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 8. Private burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Marianna.
