James Joseph Tonecha

James Joseph Tonecha, 54, of Washington Township, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017, at his home.

He was born May 5, 1963, a son of Joseph and Joyce Guzy Tonecha of Venetia.

Mr. Tonecha lived in the Apollo area for the past 25 years.

He was employed by ATI as director of information technology.

Mr. Tonecha was a member of Harvest Bible Chapel, Monroeville, where he was an active member.

He loved to tinker in his garage and loved his equipment. He loved learning and was a perfectionist. He most loved his family.

Deceased are his second wife, Susan Smeltzer Tonecha, who died May 10, 2012; an infant son, William; and an infant brother, Jay.

Surviving are his wife of four years, Lori Harrer Tonecha; four sons, Alexander (Danielle) Tonecha of Monongahela, Joshua (Katie) Tonecha of Scott Township, and James and Joseph Tonecha, both of Washington Township; three stepdaughters, Gina Ciuca of New Kensington, Stephanie (Dan) Lussier of Virginia and Stacey (Jeff) Bopp of Penn Township; a grandson, Jordan Tonecha; two granddaughters, Kenzie Rae and Keeley Joe; two stepgrandchildren, Silas Andrew Lussier of Virginia and Josiah Jeffrey Bopp of Penn Township; a brother, Gary Tonecha of Clairton; two sisters, Joy (George) Lamars of Pleasant Hills and Marla (Jennifer) Tonecha of Cincinnati, Ohio; and a niece, Jacqueline Lamars of Pleasant Hills. His first wife, Joan Dewar, is the mother of Alexander and Joshua.
