Daniel L. Titchenell

Daniel L. Titchenell, 77, of Prosperity, Ruff Creek, died Tuesday, December 5, 2017, in his home.

He was born March 12, 1940, in Valley Point, W.Va., a son of the late Floyd and Rosalie Richard Titchenell.

Mr. Titchenell was a graduate of Cumberland Township High School.

He was a retired coal miner from Humphrey No. 7 Coal Mine.

Mr. Titchenell was an active trap shooter and gun collector. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, Amateur Trap-shooters Association, Stringtown Sportsman Association and United Mine Workers of America.

He also owned Dan’s Bait Shop for over 20 years.

On July 4, 1959, he married JoAnn Hull, who died September 29, 2006.

Surviving are three children, Daniel Titchenell Jr. and wife Rhonda of Ruff Creek, Donald Titchenell of Carmichaels and Tammy Jones of Ruff Creek; five grandchildren, Charles Titchenell, Cory Titchenell, Eric Jones, Kelly Titchenell and Hayley Jones; six great-grandchildren, Kelystah, Mary Mae, Shawn, Kylie, Mason and Logan; and three sisters, Barbara Dailey of Carmichaels, Linda Titchenell of Morgantown, W.Va., and Cheryl Switalski of Garards Fort.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will held at 2 p.m., Saturday, December 9. Interment will follow in Jefferson Cemetery.
