Rose M. Capozza Sabol
Rose M. Capozza Sabol, 98, of Bentleyville, died Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at Premier Washington Health Center, Chartiers Township, where she was a resident for five years.
She was born October 4, 1919, in Taranto, Italy, a daughter of Egidio and Maria Frances Fella Capozza.
During World War II, Mrs. Sabol worked at a defense manufacturing plant in Warren, Ohio, for five years and later for Bobbie Brooks in Washington for 10 years.
She enjoyed listening to music and sang at several Italian festivals and other events in the area.
She also enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Her husband, Andrew Robert Sabol Sr., died October 23, 2000.
Surviving are a son and daughter, Andrew Sabol and Veronica Calcara, both of Bentleyville; a granddaughter, Kimberly Hendershot (Bob); great-granddaughters Kaitlyn, Kelsey and Kyleigh Hendershot; a sister, Alberina Perunko (John) of Donora; a brother, Edward Capozza (Pauline) of Eldora; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are brothers Joseph and Cosimo Capozza and sisters Edith Caputo and Theresa McCann.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 9, with the Rev. Jeremy J. Mohler, parochial vicar of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, officiating. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
