Stephen E. Hamm
Stephen E. Hamm, 69, of Cecil Township, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017, in his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born September 2, 1948, in South Williamsport, a son of the late Joseph and Louise Huffman Hamm.
Mr. Hamm was the beloved husband of 46 years to Christine Baker Hamm, who survives.
He was the adored father of Stephen Hamm of Ohio, Michael (Stephanie) Hamm of North Fayette Township and Thomas (Jacque) Hamm of Cecil Township.
Also surviving are grandchildren Alexis, Emma, Stephen, William and Gavin Hamm, and three brothers, Joseph Hamm of South Williamsport, Thomas Hamm of Maryland and David Hamm.
Mr. Hamm was a graduate of South Williamsport High School and Edinboro University. He was a retired teacher for West Allegheny School District, where he helped mentor children for 32½ years.
He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and softball and was known to many as “Mr. Fixit.”
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Thomas-Little Funeral Service Inc., 314 West Lincoln Avenue, McDonald, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 20. Interment will follow in Woodruff Memorial Park Cemetery, North Strabane Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
