Laura L. Erickson
Laura L. “Bubba” Erickson, 55, of Monongahela, Carroll Township, died Saturday, December 16, 2017, as a result of an automobile accident.
She was born December 22, 1961, in Monongahela, a daughter of the late Peter and Gloria Necciai Piskor.
Ms. Erickson was a homemaker, loving mother and devoted grandmother. Her days were spent caring for her young grandchildren while their mother worked. She took pride in having her house decorated for every season.
She was a 1980 graduate of Ringgold High School.
Ms. Erickson was Catholic and a member of the former St. Dominic Catholic Church, Donora.
Surviving are three daughters, Jenna L. and husband Jeremy Bartrug of Monongahela, Stephanie Erickson and fiancé Drew Carl of Washington and Bailey A. Erickson of Monongahela; their father, Kevin Erickson of Monongahela; three grandchildren, Caleb, Jordan and Owen Bartrug; a sister, Armida and Bob English of Pittsburgh; and several close friends, whom she talked with daily.
Deceased are her son, Jason Erickson, who died February 8, 2005, and a special aunt, Armida Necciai.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Marshall Marra Funeral Home, 216 Chess Street, Monongahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com. Anyone attending the funeral is asked to go directly to Monongahela Cemetery chapel Thursday, December 21, for committal prayers beginning at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Duane Bartrug officiating.
Donations may be made to the funeral home on behalf of the family.
Ms. Erickson’s loved ones say, “Mummy, we don’t know how we are going to go on without you. There are still so many big events in our lives you should be here for. Please watch over us from above and know that we will forever cherish all of the memories we made with you.”
