Alberta M. Yokimcus
Alberta M. Yokimcus, 87, of Charleroi, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born February 10, 1930, in Charleroi, a daughter of the late Charles and Anna Komondor Greenlee.
Mrs. Yokimcus was a 1948 graduate of Charleroi High School.
She was employed as a maintenance administrator for Bell Telephone Co., retiring in 1987 with 38 years of service.
Mrs. Yokimcus was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Bentleyville campus.
An avid reader, she enjoyed traveling with her husband, niece and nephew. She also enjoyed quilting, cooking and sharing stories of her family and friends. She never met a stranger.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Raymond Yokimcus; a sister, Roberta Cappelli of Fallowfield Township; numerous nieces and nephews; and multiple godchildren.
She will be deeply missed by all.
Family and friends are asked to gather for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 28, in St. Katharine Drexel Parish, 126 Church Street, Bentleyville, PA 15314, with the Rev. Richard Andre, godson of the deceased, officiating. Interment will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Katharine Drexel Parish, 126 Church Street, Bentleyville, PA 15314.
