David W. Bryce
David W. Bryce, 73, of McDonald, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 23, 2017, in his home, surrounded by family, after fighting a long, courageous battle.
He was born June 29, 1944, a son of the late Laverne and Edwin Bryce.
Mr. Bryce was the beloved husband of the late Patricia Ann Bryce; loving father of Cheri (Rick) Bugaj; proud grandfather of David VanTassell; and dear brother of Peggy (John) Valdengo and Delores Kirchner.
Deceased is a brother, Ted Bryce.
Mr. Bryce was a self-employed truck driver for more than 40 years.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of American Legion Post 793, Cecil.
After his retirement, Mr. Bryce loved passing time in his machine shop, tending to his flowers and enjoying a good meal. He was an avid fisherman all his life and enjoyed shooting rifles at Canonsburg Sportsmen’s Association. He enjoyed spending time with his lifelong friends and family and will be dearly missed, especially by his dogs, Dixie and Lucy.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., the time of service, Thursday, December 28, in Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society and Concordia Hospice of Washington.
