Vera L. Anderson
Vera L. Anderson, 86, of Washington, died at 6:47 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2017, in Donnell House, Washington.
She was born June 14, 1931, in Washington, a daughter of the late William and Elma A. Sweitzer Irwin.
Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker and loved spending quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a member of North Buffalo Presbyterian Church.
On October 23, 1948, she married William Joseph Anderson, who died October 18, 2015.
Surviving are a son-in-law, Gary Zofchak of Washington; a granddaughter-in-law, Shannon Zofchak of Colorado; two grandchildren, Elizabeth (Frank) Gladysz of Washington and Jason (Janell) Zofchak of North Charleroi; and eight great-grandchildren, Kala and Ty Zofchak of Colorado, Ashlee and Emilee Gladysz of Washington, Gracie Jae Zofchak and Grady Joseph Zofchak of North Charleroi, and Anna Stewart and Allen Gunia of North Charleroi.
Mrs. Anderson leaves behind her loyal companion, her Maltese dog, Molly.
In addition to her mother, father and husband, deceased are a daughter, Karen Anderson Zofchak; a son, William Joseph Anderson Jr.; four brothers, James D. Irwin, William R. Irwin, Kenneth H. Irwin and Martin G. Irwin; a sister, Lucille McCartney; and a grandson, Brian J. Zofchak.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation. Burial will be private in Washington Cemetery.
