Stephen Christopher McKenzie
Stephen Christopher McKenzie, 35, of Hanover, formerly of Westminster, Md., passed away tragically Monday, December 25, 2017, in his home.
Born Saturday, October 9, 1982, in Westminster, he was a son of James McKenzie and Deborah A. Cialkowski McKenzie-Metz and devoted stepdad, Dale Metz Jr.
He was the rowdiest Baltimore fan, biggest concert lover, the one who knew all the songs and artists on the radio, and the one who put his all into sharing his love with his family and friends. He enjoyed the old movies and his guitar, too.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by five brothers, Jason McKenzie of Thomasville, Bryan McKenzie, Dale Metz III, Joshua Metz and Shane McKenzie of Hanover; three sisters, Ashley Liquefatto, Katie McKenzie and Bonnie Metz of Hanover; his grandmother Lorraine Sizer; and his first true love, Maria Proia of Canonsburg, PA.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, in Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle Street, Hanover, with Pastor Jerry L. Beers officiating. A time to share memories with the family will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and then again from 12 p.m. until the time of service Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
