Mabel Morris Crawford
Mabel Morris Crawford, 91, of Holbrook, went to be with her Lord, with her loving family by her side, Thursday, November 2, 2017, in Lasosky’s Personal Care Home, Clarksville.
Born February 3, 1926, in Jackson Township, she was a daughter of the late Stoy Edison “Jack” and Sarah Ann Rhome Morris.
She was a lifelong resident of Holbrook, Greene County.
On October 28, 1955, she married Donald Jacob Crawford. The couple renewed their vows on their 50th wedding anniversary.
She was a faith-filled homemaker, whose focus always was on her children and grandchildren. She loved birds, butterflies and playing dominoes.
She formerly attended Centennial Church of God and was also a member of Bethel Community Church in Pine Bank and Maranatha Baptist Church in Holbrook.
Surviving are her son, Edison Isaac Crawford of Greensburg; daughter Eva Jean (James) Pettit of Holbrook; three brothers, Harry, Jack and Herman Morris, all of Holbrook; sister Betty Jean Weaver of New Freeport; three grandchildren, Joyce Ann Kiger, Douglas Pettit and Travis Isaac Crawford; and two great-grandchildren, Sierra Noelle and Savannah Cheyenne Pettit.
In addition to her parents, deceased are her husband, Donald Jacob Crawford, in 2011; two sisters, Mildred Temple of New Freeport and Vada Lou Pettit of Holbrook; daughter Donna Jean Crawford; and grandson James Barry Pettit.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 7, in Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home LLC., 3275 West Roy Furman Highway, Rogersville, PA 15359, 724-499-5181. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home following visitation at 1 p.m. with Pastor Vernon K. Berdine and Pastor Scott A. Blair III., co-officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery, Center Township, Waynesburg.
