John A. Cook

John A. “Tony” Cook, 55, of Burgettstown, died Saturday, November 4, 2017, in his home.

He was born February 11, 1962, in Sewickley, a son of the late Robert W. and Lucille M. Weber Cook.

Mr. Cook was the owner/operator of Hog Construction Co., Burgettstown, for the past 20 years.

He was a member of National Rifle Association and Raccoon Sportsman’s Club.

Mr. Cook enjoyed hunting, riding his motorcycle and working with his hands.

On January 1, 2008, he married Theresa Ann Zunic, who affectionately called him “Paw.”

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two stepsons, Bruno Manno of East Pittsburgh and Gino Manno of Penn Hills; three brothers, Robert Cook of McDonald, Michael Cook of Midway and Joseph Cook of Noblestown; and two stepgrandchildren, Gianna and Mariah Manno.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Nation Funeral Home Inc., 220 East Lincoln Avenue, McDonald, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, with the Rev. Ben Vaghetto, pastor of St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, McDonald, officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald.
