V. Dean Richmond
Veril Dean Richmond, 84, of Washington, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017, in Allegheny General Hospital.
He was born May 24, 1933, in Cameron, W.Va., a son of the late Fritz and Zerval Blake Richmond.
He was a 1951 graduate of Claysville High School.
Mr. Richmond worked for Jessop Steel Co. for 41 years as a chemical steel analyst in the chemical lab.
He was a member of Grove United Presbyterian Church, West Middletown.
Mr. Richmond was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. He enjoyed fixing TVs, loved remodeling the house, and enjoyed spending time with his kids, grandkids and great-grandchildren.
On August 3, 1968, he married Nancy Kimble, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Ronald (Karen) Richmond of Washington and Dean A.(Melissa) Richmond of Canonsburg; three daughters, Terrie (Dennis) Calvert of Tidioute, Tracie (Jim Hughes) Henderson of Washington and Sharon (Raymond) Ingram of Washington; grandchildren, Amy (Joe) Priest, Steven (Elaine) Calvert, Adam Henderson, Sara (John) Beckus, Cassie Richmond, Laurel Richmond, Joshua Ingram, Tyler Richmond and Gavin Richmond; great-grandchildren, Brennan, Cora, Cayden, Kayla, Jack, Kate, Maliyah, Dominic, Julius and Larry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, his twin Gene Richmond and Ronald Wayne Richmond; two sisters, Lillian Widmer and Wanda Janovich; and two children, Joyce and Vaughn Richmond.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 11, with Pastor Jack Emerick officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
