Della Romaine Chambers Faber
Della Romaine Chambers Faber, 94, of Washington, died Thursday, November 9, 2017, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 19, 1923, in Washington, a daughter of the late Carl and Mildred Clutter Chambers.
Mrs. Faber attended Washington schools and was a homemaker.
A devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she loved spending time with her family by dining out and having family gatherings.
Mrs. Faber was a devoted 54-year member of Fairhill Manor Christian Church, Washington, where she was in charge of bereavement dinners and cooking for the drive-through Nativity for many years. She also worked preparing the food service for Bible school.
On October 14, 1951, she married Edward E. Faber, who died January 25, 2001.
Surviving are two daughters, Darla (Rick) Lewis and Jeanne (Perry) Riffle, both of Washington; seven grandchildren, Todd (Scott Neslund) Barnhart, Troy (Lori) Barnhart, Chris (A.J.) Lewis, Ashley (Ian) Howsare, Jessie Simpson, Lori Riffle and Daniel Riffle; and six great-grandchildren, Noelle Barnhart, Brenton Barnhart, Jace Simpson, Jenna Simpson, Christian Lewis and Julia Howsare.
Deceased are a daughter, Linda Barnhart; a sister, Dorothy Ruth Baker; and a very special cousin, Betty Sekorky.
Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 13, in Fairhill Manor Christian Church, Washington, with Pastor Michael Lehman officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
