William G. Dubbs
William G. “Bill” Dubbs, 77, of Finleyville, died Thursday, November 9, 2017, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Jefferson Hills Borough.
He was born June 21, 1940, in New Eagle, a son of William and Thelma George Dubbs.
Mr. Dubbs retired as a butcher with Monongahela Foodland. He previous owned and operated, along with his father and brother, the former Dubbs Market in Finleyville.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Dubbs was a member of First Presbyterian Church and American Legion Post 613, both in Finleyville. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.
Surviving are two daughters, Cherie Colucci (Don Cislak) of New Eagle and Shellie Mitchell (John) of Canonsburg; a sister, Kay Dubbs of Finleyville; four grandchildren, Chase, Trevor, Maddy and Jordyn; a sister-in-law, Peggy McLaughlin (Frank) of New Eagle; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are his wife, Sondra Wall Dubbs, who died in June 2015, and a brother, Kenneth Dubbs.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Kegel Funeral home Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, David P. Kegel, director, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 13, with Pastor Kevin Young officiating. Interment will follow in Finleyville Cemetery.
