Jodi L. Burnette McNinch
Jodi L. “JoJo” Burnette McNinch, 52, of Washington, passed away unexpectedly Friday, November 10, 2017, from complications of pneumonia and cardiac arrest.
She was born August 20, 1965, in Washington, a daughter of Jean P. Sharp Burnette of Prosperity and the late Clifford Allen Burnette.
Ms. McNinch was a 1983 graduate of Trinity High School.
For many years, she was employed as a bartender at Station Bar in Washington, and most recently, as a cashier at BP on Chestnut Street.
She had a beautiful spirit and was a social butterfly, always willing to help others. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and especially her grandchildren. She was very sociable, loved her dogs and going to the beach.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are two children, Ashley N. McNinch of Washington and Nathan N. (Tiffany) Clark of Washington; boyfriend of 11 years, Richard “Hobo” Cox; three grandchildren, Haleigh, Tailynn and Denver; a brother, John (Donna) Burnette of Prosperity; two sisters, Brenda (RJ) Steinstraw of Washington and Carla (Chad) Dittman of West Finley; a niece, Destaney (Steven) Burnette, who was like a daughter to her; an aunt, Mary McCracken; an uncle, John Sharp; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
In addition to her father, deceased are paternal grandmother Alberta Burnette and maternal grandparents Clara P. and Carl H. Sharp.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home, 1290 Jefferson Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, November 17, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. All other arrangements are private.
