Charles L. Tupta
Charles L. Tupta, 86, of Hickory, died Monday, November 13, 2017, in his home.
He was born June 22, 1931, in Uniontown, a son of the late Andrew and Helen Kopchow Tupta.
Mr. Tupta was a member of St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church.
He was a retired manager for the A&P Tea Company and Food Gallery, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Patricia King Tupta; children Mark (Patty)Tupta of Amity, Charles A. Tupta of Chicago, Ill., Colby Griffith of Texas, David (Belinda) Griffith of Langeloth and Wendy (Kevin) Taylor of Virginia; grandchildren Kimberly Tupta, David, Brian and Garrett Griffith, Lindsey Tayler Griffith and Rylee Taylor; seven great-grandchildren, Harley, Andrew and Gavin Griffith, Lucas and McKinsey Carrabia and Reese and Tristan Proffit; and a brother, Robert Tupta of Uniontown.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Geraldine Yaurisinski (1986).
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Thomas-Little Funeral Service Inc., 314 West Lincoln Avenue, McDonald, 724-926-2800. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, November 17, in St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, 219 West Lincoln Avenue, McDonald. Interment will follow in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory.
