Ethel L. Wright Davis
Ethel L. “Tiny” Wright Davis, 69, of Washington, died peacefully Monday, November 13, 2017, in Donnell House.
She was born April 1, 1948, in Washington, a daughter of the late Bill Brown and Irene Wright.
Mrs. Davis graduated from Washington High School in 1968.
She worked at Brockway Glass as well as Greif Brothers, retiring from both places of employment.
Mrs. Davis enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino and spending time with family.
She was a devoted member of Friendship Baptist Church, where she was an usher and involved in numerous church activities.
Mrs. Davis was a loving, dependable, caring, kind-hearted and unselfish lady who loved everyone she met. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt to many and will be forever missed by her family and all who knew her.
On April 3, 2004, she married Jeffrey William “Big Jeff” Davis, who died May 3, 2015.
Surviving are four sons, Michael Wright of Washington, Curtis Biddings of Maryland, Jerry Belt of Uniontown and Brian Davis of Maryland; two daughters, Deidre (Pete) Meredith and Terri Walker, both of Washington; two brothers, Bill Brown Jr. and Tommy Brown, both of Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Mary Brown of Columbus; numerous grandchildren, including India Stuart, Ka’wan Wright Sr., Elijah Wright, Oshai Wright Sr., Kelcey McKinley, Mackenzie Skidmore, Antonio Meredith, McKayla Wright, Makiyah Wright, Maleik Meredith, Kaden Wright, Layton Wright, Jerricka Belt, Angelica Belt and Shaneque Badil, as well as several other grandchildren; great-grandchildren TaeRon, Ka’wan Jr., Oshai Jr., Jenavecia, Cashmire and Kingsley; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a sister, Carolyn Spencer.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Saturday, November 18, in Friendship Baptist Church, 17 East Walnut Street, Washington, with the Rev. Richard White officiating. Burial will be private in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
