Frank R. Lawrence
Frank R. Lawrence, 83, of Eighty Four, passed away peacefully Friday, November 17, 2017, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, surrounded by family.
He was born May 30, 1934, in Sturgeon, a son of the late Frank and Elizabeth Multunas Lawrence.
On November 15, 1955, he married Laverne DeVandry, who survives.
Mr. Lawrence was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Canonsburg.
He was a veteran, serving his country proudly with the U.S. Marine Corps.
Mr. Lawrence was a self-employed truck driver for many years, until his retirement. He worked very hard to provide a good life for his family.
He enjoyed fishing in his spare time. Above all, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved them dearly and enjoyed spending time with them all.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons, Mark R. Lawrence of Eighty Four, Keith R. Lawrence (Sandy) of Canonsburg and Don Eric Lawrence (Jennifer) of California; his only daughter, Cynthia L. Young (William Scherz) of Canonsburg; a brother, Dennis Lawrence (Shirley) of Carnegie; two sisters, Betty Yawerski (Walter) of Green Tree and Maryann Thomas of Louisiana; his beloved grandchildren, Carmella Young, Corrina Bosley (Dustin), Kayla, Brianna and Hunter Lawrence and Zachary Boatright (Jenn); and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are two brothers, William and Louis Lawrence.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where departing prayers will begin at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 21. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Military rites will be accorded by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191 Honor Guard, Canonsburg. Interment will be held privately in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
