Judith P. Chappel
Judith P. Chappel, 76, of Washington, died Friday, November 17, 2017 in her home.
She was born October 10, 1941, in Washington, a daughter of the late Earl F. and Mildred P. Hutson Porter.
Mrs. Chappel was a 1959 graduate of Washington High School. She worked as a real estate agent for Sunny Hills Real Estate for ten years.
She was a member of Davidson United Methodist Church, Glyde, where she served as treasurer and was a trustee. She was also involved with many church fundraising efforts.
Mrs. Chappel loved horses and won many awards for showing winning Appaloosas. She also enjoyed working with ceramics.
Surviving are two daughters, Judith L. Russell of Washington and Jessica L. Chappel Rizor; and a grandson, Phillip M. Russell II.
She leaves behind her canine family, Buttons, Giselle and Tiger.
Deceased is a granddaughter, Jorja L. Rizor.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m., the hour of services, Tuesday, November 21, in Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, with Pastor Patricia Comini-Miller officiating. All other services will be private.
