Robert L. Wasalasky
Robert L. “Wazz” Wasalasky, 60, of Washington, died unexpectedly Saturday, November 18, 2017, in Washington Hospital.
He was born July 20, 1957, in Washington, a son of the late Mary Ann Wasalaski.
Mr. Wasalasky was an underwriter for Chrome Federal Credit Union. He was formerly a loan officer for American General Financial, First National Bank and Beneficial Finance.
He was a past master of Chartiers Lodge 297 F&AM, Canonsburg; a past commander of Jacques DeMolay Commandry 3, Chapter 150, Council 1; a 32nd degree Scottish Rite member, a member of Red Knights Chapter 13 and a member of BPOE Lodge 776, Washington.
On May 7, 2017, he married Candy McGowan McDonald, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Robert A. (Rebecca) Wasalasky of Washington; a stepson, Robert (Evelyn) Martin of South Carolina; a stepdaughter, Heather (Jon) Hamilton of Washington; a daughter-in-law, Tracy (Dustin) Chaffin of Howard; stepfather, David Dean of Washington; ten grandchildren, Madison, Chloe, Alexis, Nathan, Anthony, Ashlee, Aaron, Austin, Mackenzie, and Austin; and a great-granddaughter, Layla.
Deceased are an aunt, Rose Wasalaski; an uncle, Ted Wasalaski, and his grandparents, Alex and Nellie Wasalaski.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Hummell & Jones Funeral Home, Thomas W. Hummell, supervisor, Douglas M. Jones, director, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 22, with Pastor Jay Freudenberg officiating. Interment will follow in Horn Cemetery, Marianna. Red Knights service will be held at 7 p.m. and Masonic services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
