Judi Guritza Lemley, 52, of Waynesburg, died peacefully Tuesday morning, November 21, 2017, in her home.

She was born February 23, 1965, in Waynesburg, a daughter of Steve Guritza of Mather and Barbara Joan Gilbert Guritza, who died December 14, 2016.

She was a 1983 graduate of Jefferson-Morgan High School and, up until her recent illness, had worked at Sally’s Beauty Supply in Washington.

Mrs. Lemley wrote:

“I’m fortunate that I have been able to write my own obituary. Please don’t be sad for me. I’m walking in God’s eternal light. I love anything sparkly, so I’m sure that my wings (which I believe they have been working on for over four years) are absolutely gorgeous. I tell you not to be sad for me because I had time to prepare. I have had the pleasure of traveling to some stunning places in the beautiful world, my favorite being Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and for that, I’m truly blessed. I would rather be on a beach than anywhere. My second favorite pastime is sitting on my country porch, with my beagle Tracker and my family by my side, wasting away a hot summer day with my ice water. I met the love of my life in 1981 and never looked back. Mark was and is my life! We were married on August 30, 1986. God blessed us with a beautiful daughter, Alyssa Lemley Hoge and son-in-law Johnathan, and out of this union the littlest love of my life, my granddaughter, Harper Renesmee Hoge. My husband is a very private person – if you see him out and about, just smile. I want to ease his suffering as much as possible. I’ll see you on the other side.

All of my love, Judi.”

Also surviving are a brother, Bradley S. Guritza and wife Valerie of Cheyenne, Wyo.; a niece, Ashley Guritza and husband James of Cheyenne; and two nephews, Austin Guritza of Cheyenne and Andrew Guritza of Salt Lake City, Utah.

There will be no public viewing and arrangements are private and entrusted to Yoskovich Funeral Home, 300 South Vine Street, Route 88, Carmichaels, 724-966-5500, Martin J. Yoskovich, funeral director. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society.
