Charles A. Muntan
Charles A. “Cow Man” Muntan, 87, of New Eagle, Friday November 24, 2017, in UPMC-Shadyside hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born November 6, 1930, in New Eagle, he was a son of the late Charles and Mary Komar Muntan.
He served his country as a corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict from 1948 until 1952 as a marine engine repairman. He retired from Fisher Body.
He enjoyed his music and sharing it with family and friends. He also loved his morning coffee with his buddies at Eat’n Park.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Gersna Muntan; two sisters, Betty Franks and April Roberts; and a brother, James Muntan.
He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law Linda and Peter Waddell of Aliquippa, Diane and Jack Curran of Belle Vernon and Carol and Charlie Rosche of Fallowfield Township; five grandchildren, Nicole Waddell of Aliquippa, Heath and Grant Curran of Belle Vernon, Shane and fiancée Alicia Thomas of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Rocky and Laura Rosche of Columbia, Tenn.; two brothers, Robert and William Muntan, both of Monongahela; and two sisters, Charlotte Dickie of Cranberry and Barbara Muntan of Charleroi.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc., Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue, Monessen, www.billicksfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 29, in the funeral home with Pastor Michael Hough officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be accepted.
