Helen W. Grace

Helen W. “Babi” Grace, 82, of Washington, formerly of Eighty Four and Muse, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 26, 2017, in her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born April 14, 1935, in Avella, a daughter of the late Andrew and Anna Korba Whitco.

Ms. Grace was a 1953 graduate of Bridgeville High School.

She was a faithful member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, Canonsburg.

She was employed in accounts payable as an administrative assistant with Dymamet Inc. for 21 years, until her retirement.

Ms. Grace’s hobbies included cooking, baking, crocheting, her iPad and spending time with her beloved family.

Surviving are four children, Richard M. (Marjorie) Grace of Washington, David A. (Kimberly) Grace of Aliquippa, Sharon M. (Kenny Paul) Moschell of Canonsburg and Carol Ann Grace (Nancy) of Coral Springs, Fla.; two sisters, Anna Mae Whitco of Mt. Lebanon and Mary Evelyn (Stephen) Parish of Finleyville; seven stepsiblings, Carol (Ray) Wolfe, Nancy Gibbs, Joanne (Dick) Kieta, Jean (Dick) Eutsey, Richard McQuigg, Ron (Georgiane) McQuigg and Loraine (Randy) Garlick; seven grandchildren, Nicole (Sean) Shaffer, Jennifer (Michael) McCarthy, Richard M. (Nicole) Grace, Heather (Josh) Hopkins, Shelby (Jake) Shingles, Jeffrey A. (Kelly) Grace and Kenny Paul Moschell; seven great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Shaffer, Steven (Riley) Bing, Camron Shaffer, Taylor Grace, Chase Hopkins, Mara McCarthy and Morgan McCarthy; her former husband, Richard P. Grace of Claysville; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her stepmother, Betty Whitco, and a granddaughter, Jessica Moschell.

Friends are welcome from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where departing prayers will begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, November 30. A divine liturgy will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, 166 East College Street, Canonsburg. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Canonsburg. A Parastas service will be held at 1 p.m Wednesday in the funeral home.
