Michael Kuzemko Jr.
Michael Kuzemko Jr., 88, of Cecil, died Tuesday, November 28, 2017, in his home.
He was born July 2, 1929, in Carnegie, a son of the late Michael Sr. and Mary Koss Kuzemko.
Mr. Kuzemko was a corporal in the U.S. Army, serving as a medic in the Korean War.
He was a member of St. Mary Parish, Cecil American Legion Post 793 and Ukrainian American Club, Carnegie. He enjoyed visiting The Meadows and lounging at home with his wife.
He was a die maker for Columbia Steel, Carnegie.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Zanardelli Kuzemko of Cecil, and a sister-in-law, Janice Kuzemko of Kelso, Wash.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Donald Kuzemko, and a sister, Nellie Kuzemko in infancy.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, Route 50, Cecil, where prayers of transfer will be said at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 5, followed by a Christian funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Cecil, at noon with Father Stan Gregorek officiating.
Interment will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township, where full military honors will be accorded by Canonsburg Veterans of Foreign Wars 191 Honor Guard.
