David R. “Davey” Grimes, 61, of Vestaburg, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017, in Mon Valley Hospital.

He was born November 1, 1956, in Warren, Ohio, a son of Andrew J. and Dolores Pordash Grimes of Vestaburg, who survive.

Mr. Grimes was a 1974 graduate of Bethlehem-Center High School.

He was owner/operator of Dave Grimes Auto Body Vestaburg for over 40 years. He was also employed as a bus driver with Impiccini Bus Lines.

Mr. Grimes was a lifelong member of St. Katherine Drexel Parish Fredericktown Campus, a 50-year member of AMA and Fayette County BFRO.

He enjoyed Moto Cross, running 5Ks and hiking, but most importantly, he loved his family. He also enjoyed helping others and was proud to be an organ donor.

On September 29, 1995, he married Debra Ann Allen, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, David Robert Grimes of Vestaburg; two brothers, Larry Grimes (Marlene) of Carmichaels and Andrew Patrick Grimes (Paula) of Vestaburg; a sister, Valerie Orlandi (Tony) of Vestaburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased is a brother, Ricky Grimes.

Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m., the time of memorial service, Saturday, December 2, in Greenlee Funeral Home, 42 Bank Street at Crawford Road, Fredericktown, with the Rev. Leo Orlandi officiating.
