Joye M. Harbaugh
Joye M. Harbaugh, 87, of Clarksville (Sandy Plains), passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
She was born June 1, 1930, in Claysville, a daughter of the late Tracy M. Sr. and Hilda S. Ryan Doman.
Mrs. Harbaugh was a 1948 graduate of Centerville High School. She always looked forward to her class reunions and never missed one in 59 years.
She was employed by A&P stores, working in numerous stores located in Southwestern Pennsylvania. She retired in 1981 after 34 years of service. She was a member of United Food Workers Local 590.
Mrs. Harbaugh was an avid photographer and always had a camera or two nearby, never wanting to miss an opportunity for another picture. Spending time with her family and friends, talking on the phone and sending cards were activities that brought her special pleasure.
She was a lifelong, active member of East Bethlehem Baptist Church.
On October 13, 1954, she married William A. Harbaugh, who died April 8, 2009.
Surviving are a daughter, Brenda R. Hutchinson (Douglas) of Clarksville; two grandchildren, René Gardner (Carl) and Bradley W. Hutchinson; five great-grandchildren, Breanna, Zachary, Tyler, Dylan and Kaelyn; two sisters, Opal Ross of Latrobe and Norma Karanovich of Marietta, Ga.; a brother, Owen R. Doman (Gayle) of Knoxville, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are two brothers, Tracy M. Doman Jr. and William “Butch” Doman, and a sister, Mable Jane Doman, who died in infancy.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 26, with Pastor James Cannon officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery.
