Cynthia L. Grable Davis
Cynthia L. Grable Davis, 66, of Washington, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017, in her home, after a lengthy illness, with her loving husband at her side.
She was born July 23, 1951, in Waynesburg, a daughter of Mary Ullom Grable of Brooksville, Fla., and the late Glenn M. Grable.
Mrs. Davis was a 1969 graduate of Bethlehem-Center High School and a 2000 graduate of Carlow College with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and a minor in biology.
She began her career at Centerville Clinic and retired from Washington Hospital in 2011 after a 30-year career. At the time of her retirement, she was supervisor of the electroencephalograph department.
Mrs. Davis was an avid reader. She loved designing floral arrangements with her aunt Bev and enjoyed holiday decorating, baking Christmas cookies and family dinners. She also enjoyed attending an investment club, Estrogen and Lace, for a number of years.
On September 25, 1981, she married Dan K. Davis, who survives.
Surviving, in addition to her husband and mother, are three sisters, Kathie Stepko (John) of Bentleyville, Karen Lynn (Dennis) of Belle Vernon and Trisha Green (John) of Brooksville; several nieces and nephews; and a great nephew.
She leaves behind her faithful dog, Tia Ming.
Arrangements are private and have been entrusted to John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Beallsville.
The family suggests memorial contributions to a local library of the donor’s choice.
