Earl Leroy Pirt Sr.
Earl Leroy Pirt Sr., 75, of Washington, died Saturday, October 28, 2017, in his home, following a three-year illness.
He was born January 11, 1942, in Vestaburg, a son of the late Walker Pirt and Catherine E. Gump Pirt.
Mr. Pirt was a heavy equipment operator for Local 66 for many years.
He was formerly a member of Calvary Temple.
Mr. Pirt loved football, country music, socializing and various types of TV shows related to cars.
Surviving are a son, Earl (Margaret Clutter) Pirt Jr.; two daughters, Tambra (Jeff) Huseman of Fairbank and Sherri (Robert) Cavanaugh of Amity; eight grandchildren, Earl and Heather Saffel, Amber and Autumn Rizor, Amana Reid, Joshua and Kodi Foley and Rogan Cavanaugh; nine great-grandchildren; a niece, Dawn McElhaney; and three great-nephews.
Deceased are a great-granddaughter, Kloe Saffel; a sister, Kathleen Kaminski; and a niece, Kimberly Crow.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Thursday, November 2, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
