Peter A. “Pete” Bullotta, 80, of Washington, died Sunday, October 29, 2017, in his home.

He was born June 4, 1937, in Washington, a son of the late Dominick and Helen Onesko Bullotta.

Mr. Bullotta was a 1955 graduate of Washington High School.

He was a member of St. Hilary Parish in Washington.

Mr. Bullotta was a proud and dedicated employee of Washington Steel Corp. for 38 years. He began as a line worker and progressed through the ranks, achieving the title of shipping superintendent, before his retirement in 1995.

He began volunteering as a coach for youth football and baseball at an early age and continued to donate his time to the PONY League Baseball organization for many years. In addition, he tirelessly used his carpentry skills to build his own home, as well as helping his family and friends with theirs.

On October 24, 1959, he married Betty Jane Witzeling, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, James Bullotta of Chesterfield, Mo., and Bob (Suzanne) Bullotta of Furlong; two daughters, Cheri Conroy of Peters Township and Susan Ciorra of Oakmont; two brothers, James Bullotta of Boca Raton, Fla., and Dominick (Cathy) Bullotta of Avon Lake, Ohio; two sisters, Phyllis (Jim) Holston and Debbie Bullotta, both of Washington; nine grandchildren, Nicole and Katelyn Bullotta, Jonah and Joshua Conroy, Alexio and Julia Ciorra, Andrew, Ryan and Evan Bullotta; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased is a son-in-law, James Conroy.

Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday in Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 4. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
