Nancy Cary Reichard

Nancy Cary Reichard, 83, of Wooster, Ohio, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018, in Wooster Community Hospital.

She was born March 7, 1935, in Washington, a daughter of the late Joseph Frank Cary and Elizabeth Betty Hamilton Cary.

She attended Washington City schools and graduated from Trinity High School. She also attended the business school at Penn Commerical.

Nancy was a secretary at Trinity High School for several years.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Washington.

In 1954, she married Paul James Reichard of Timblin. They moved to Germany for a year while Jim was in the U.S. Army. Upon returning to the United States, they settled in Washington and had two children. They moved to Wooster in 1962.

Nancy worked for 22 years at The College of Wooster in food service.

She attended Grace Brethren Church, Wooster, for 36 years.

Nancy loved to travel, read and spend time with friends and family. She especially enjoyed her dog, Carmel.

Surviving are two children, James Paul Reichard (Barb) of Charlotte, N.C., and Karen Louise Sargeant (John) of Wooster; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Her siblings are John Hamilton Cary (Kay) of Richmond, Va., Dorothy Virginia Milliken (Frank) of Lancaster and Joseph David Cary of Lancaster.

Deceased is an infant great-grandson, Paxton Michael McComb.

Friends will be received from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., the time of service, Friday, April 6, in McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 East Larwill Street, Wooster, with Randy Moomaw officiating. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster.
