Patricia Louetta Cooper, 75, of Pikeville, N.C., passed away Monday, April 2, 2018, in her home, surrounded by family.

Patricia was born July 18, 1942, in Greene County, a daughter of the late Charles Lloyd Strope and Pauline Virginia Tharp Strope.

She retired as a correctional officer with the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

After moving to Pikeville, Patricia joined Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her son, Kevin Huff and wife Samanatha of Pikeville; her daughter, Rhonda Williams of Waynesburg; grandchildren Baylee Huff, Chrystal Brown, Victoria Williams, Carlee Stevens and Ariel Yeager; and great-granddaughters Destiny Phillips, Keyerah Phillips, Ariyanna Rhodes and Gracelyn Kidd.

A service to celebrate Patricia’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 6, in Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, Pikeville.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 10, Pikeville, NC 27863, or to Community Home Care and Hospice, 2309 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
