Michael Ray Eddy

Michael Ray Eddy, 57, of Marianna, died Sunday, April 1, 2018.

He was born June 8, 1960, in Greene County, a son of the late Billy Dale and Neva Urcelene Rogers Eddy.

He was a 1979 graduate of Waynesburg Central High School. He also attended vo-tech in high school, where he was taught mechanics.

He was employed in Bishops Creamery and Rohannas Scrap Yard. He worked 28 years for Budd Baer, doing various jobs. He also worked as custodian for American Legion Post 175 of Washington.

He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose in Waynesburg and Sons of the American Legion Post 175 in Washington.

Michael enjoyed drag racing and loved to work on cars. He collected M&M memorabilia. He helped all his neighbors whenever they needed anything and was always giving children in the community pop and treats.

He was married to Lola Piatt Eddy, September 6, 1980, celebrating 29 years of marriage before her death August 5, 2010.

He leaves behind his special friend, Julie Martin, with whom he lived for seven years.

Surviving are a daughter, Martha Ann (Shawn) Redmond of Marianna; sister Peggy (Albert) King of New Freeport; two brothers, Charles (Sharon) Eddy of Washington and Steve Eddy of Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to his parents and wife, are two brothers, his twin brother Patrick and Raymond Eddy.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 7, in Marianna fire hall, Broad Street, Marianna, where a memorial service will be held with the Rev. Monte Turner officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by Nichol Funeral Home, Marianna.
