Elizabeth Pavlo
Elizabeth “Betty” Pavlo, 89, formerly of Charleroi, died Friday, April 6, 2018, in Good Samaritan Hospice, Wexford, following a short illness. Until her sudden illness, she resided with her grandson, Todd, and his wife, Anne, in Sewickley.
She was born January 17, 1929, in Van Voorhis, a daughter of the late Mike and Helen Slavic Pavlo.
She will be remembered as a hard-working, independent woman who retired from Corning Glass in Charleroi in 1995, but never slowed down. Her main focus throughout her life was her family, and she loved spending time with them.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Dr. Todd Luckasevic (Anne) and Jason Luckasevic (Kelly); two great-granddaughters, Addison and Alexis; a sister, Margaret Sukla; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, JoAnn Luckasevic, and her siblings, Helen, Michael and George.
Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday in Carl J. Spallino Funeral Home, 819 Fallowfield Avenue, Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 9, celebrated by the Rev. Jerry Mikonis. Entombment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, 97 Sacred Heart Road, Monongahela, PA 15063.
