George John Marinchak, 77, of Brownsville, Centerville Borough, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018, in Gold Canyon, Ariz.

He was born January 24, 1941, in Latrobe, a son of the late George John Marinchak Sr. and Helen Shippo Marinchak.

Mr. Marinchak was a graduate of Pennsylvania State University. He retired from Columbia Gas Transmission Corp. in 2000, after 32 years of service.

George was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, attending the Richeyville campus.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Bernadette, and their four children, Carrie L. Wilkins of Winchester, Va., Mary Ann Dolan (Aaron) of Bethel Park, Luke Marinchak of Canonsburg and Marc Marinchak (Christy) of Anchorage, Alaska. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Emma, Sarah and Matthew Dolan and new baby Noah Marinchak; a beloved sister, Elaine Verchuck (Frank) of Latrobe; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m., the time of a blessing service, Thursday, April 19, in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, with the Rev. Edward Yuhas, administrator, officiating. Interment will be private. The ladies of St. Katharine Drexel Parish will recite the rosary at 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society, 1701 Grand Boulevard, Monessen, PA 15062.
