Robert D. Preston III
Robert D. Preston III, 56, of Langeloth, passed away Thursday evening, April 19, 2018, in Washington Hospital.
He was born December 19, 1961, in Steubenville, Ohio, a son of the late Robert D. Preston Jr. and Thelma R. Bennett Preston.
A graduate of Burgettstown High School, he worked as a press operator for Carter Lumber in Atlasburg.
He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, watching NASCAR and the Steelers and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Bur-Lang Club, Atlasburg Veterans of Foreign Wars and Raccoon Valley Sportsman Association.
He is survived by three sons, Robert D. Preston IV and wife Melissa of Burgettstown, Bradley Allen Preston and wife Amanda of Eldersville and Drew Steven Preston and wife Johna of Slovan; five grandchildren, Landen Hunter, Kolby Archer, Braylon Allen, Taylor Louann and Emily Nicole Preston; his former wife, Donetta Arnold Cox of Joffre; two brothers, Mark and Troy Preston, both of Langeloth; a sister, Marci Preston of Weirton, W.Va.; his companion, Anna Boni, with whom he made his home; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are two brothers, Gregory and Jeffrey Preston.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Lee and Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 24. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Florence.
