Charles Delbert Pattison

Charles Delbert “Chuck” Pattison, 90, of Claysville, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018, in The Pines of Mt. Lebanon.

He was born September 21, 1927, in West Finley Township, a son of the late William and Grace Pattison.

Mr. Pattison retired in February 1988 from Pipeliners Local 798, Tulsa, Okla. He was very proud of his work and especially enjoyed talking about his time working on the Trans-Alaska pipeline.

Mr. Pattison was a member of McGuffey Senior Citizens. He was also a former member of the PA National Guard and National Guard of the U.S. Company H, 110th Infantry.

He enjoyed many hobbies, such as hunting and woodworking, and had been an avid flea market visitor for many years. He had a passion for collector trains and railroad items.

On November 26, 1949, he married Geraldine Bell “Gerry” Hickman, who passed away December 24, 2014.

Surviving are three sons, Bruce (Esther) Pattison of Arkansas, Marc (Sue) Pattison of Claysville and Kevin (Denise) Pattison of Texas; five grandchildren, Tiffany (Gerald) Orum, Shane Pattison, Joshua (Rhonda) Pattison, Jessica (Cory) Denard and Charles (Natalie) Pattison; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Pattison was the last of his immediate family.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 219 Main Street, Claysville, 724-663-7373, www.youngfhinc.com, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 26, with the Rev. George Plants officiating. Interment will follow in Prosperity Cemetery, Morris Township.

The Pines of Mt. Lebanon, as well as Pilgrimage Hospice of Pittsburgh, provided great care to Mr. Pattison.
