Mark L. Kavakich
Mark L. Kavakich, 82, of Bentleyville, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018, in Donnell House, Washington.
He was born January 9, 1936, in Forward Township, a son of the late Marc and Anna Kavakich.
Mr. Kavakich was a 1954 graduate of Clairton High School and received an associate’s degree in welding from Dean Institute of Technology.
Mark was employed as a foreman with U.S. Steel Homestead Works with 30 years of service.
He was an avid golfer who loved playing in local tournaments. He also loved his cats, animals, motorcycling, cars, traveling and swimming. He especially loved his grandchildren.
Surviving are four sons, Kevin Geresti (Gina) of Avella, Mark J. Kavakich and Lance C. Kavakich, both of Bentleyville, and John K. Kavakich (Silvia) of Little Falls, N.J.; seven grandchildren, Tabitha Wiggins, Cameron and Garrett Geresti and Nathaniel, Frankie Marie, John Jr. and Cayce Erin Kavakich; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are his wife, Janet Kavakich, who died December 9, 2008; and a brother, Nicholas Kavakich.
All services are private and under the direction of Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville.
