Mary Corazzi

Mary Corazzi, 97, of Fredericktown, passed away Monday, April 30, 2018, in the home of her daughter.

She was born January 6, 1921, in Fayette City, a daughter of the late Paul and Anna Kapcar Cooper.

Mary was a longtime member of St. Katherine Drexel Parish Fredericktown Campus, where she belonged to Christian Mothers of the Church. She was also a member of Fredericktown Civic Club, Beth-Center Kickoff Club and Beth-Center Senior Citizen Center, where she delivered Meals on Wheels.

A homemaker, Mrs. Corazzi was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards, cooking and baking. She was known for her cakes and pies. She was also a caregiver for several family members.

Mrs. Corazzi led a life full of love and kindness.

On May 1, 1954, she married Leno A. “Babe” Corazzi, who died December 6, 1978.

Surviving are two children, Maria Coffman (Kenneth) and Lee Corazzi (Wendy), both of Fredericktown; seven grandchildren, Leno Corazzi II, Steven Corazzi, Jon, Michael and Elyse Ovial and Trey and Emily Coffman; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a son, Paul Corazzi, who died in infancy; a grandson, Garrett Coffman; a brother, Paul Cooper; and two sisters, Cele Melega and Ann Kukol.

Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Greenlee Funeral Home, 42 Bank Street at Crawford Road, Fredericktown, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 4, with Deacon Thomas Raymond officiating. Interment will follow in Fredericktown Cemetery.
