Vittorina Zanesco Conklin
Vittorina Zanesco Conklin, 87, of Waynesburg, died at 3:33 a.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2018, in Donnell House, Washington.
She was born Monday, January 19, 1931, in Vicenca, Italy, a daughter of the late Attilio Zanesco and Liana Caprina Zanesco. Her early life was spent in Italy and she moved to the United States in 1958.
She was a member of St. Ann Roman Catholic Church in Waynesburg. She was a former volunteer at St. Ann Soup Kitchen and the Womens’ Auxillary at Greene County Memorial Hospital. She worked as a clerk in the former Hudson Jewelry Store in Waynesburg for 12 years.
Surviving are a son, Michael J. Conklin and wife Michelle of Monroeville; four grandchildren, Elijah Thompson, Ashley Conklin, Brandon Conklin and Warren Thompson; three great-granddaughters; a sister, Lela Zanin of Vicenca; and a nephew.
Deceased are two sisters, Ivana Pellizzari and Marcella Zanesco.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation. There will be a public memorial service held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 27, in St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, 232 East High Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370, with Father Francis Frazier, as celebrant. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
