Deloris M. Sarka
Deloris M. Sarka, 84, Waynesburg, formerly of St. Michael, died Saturday, August 18, 2018, in Washington Hospital.
She was born September 20, 1933, in Coalport, the last surviving child of Matthew and Esther Briggs Wad.
Deceased, in addition to parents, are husband Frank Sarka, who died March 11, 2009; sisters Kay Hirko, Betty McKnight and Joanne Sarka; and brothers Charles, William and Matthew Waddell.
Surviving are children Linda, wife of the Rev. Richard Berkey of Waynesburg, Duane, married to Bridget Rummel of Johnstown, and Debby, wife of Larry Short of Nashville, Tenn.; grandchildren Richard Berkey Jr., married to Angela Phillips, Josh Sarka, Mindy Berkey, Patrick Sarka, married to Samantha Young, and Kayla and Jeffery Blackner; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Deloris was a member of Rolling Meadows Church of God, Waynesburg.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 11 a.m. until noon, the time of service, Friday, August 24, in Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., 621 Maple Street, South Fork, with the Rev. Richard Smith presiding. Private interment will be in Richland Cemetery.
