Peter Andrew Molinaro

Peter Andrew Molinaro, 96, of West Alexander, formerly of Washington, died Monday, August 20, 2018, in his home.

He was born June 29, 1922, in Washington, a son of Salvatore Molinaro and Virginia D’Saro Molinaro.

Mr. Molinaro served in the U.S. Army for two years as a toxic gas handler and truck driver. He was honorably discharged December 18, 1944, with a rank of technician, five grade.

He worked as a fitter in the bar mill at Jessop Steel Corp. for 19 years. In addition, he owned and raced horses.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching Westerns on television, going to the Doghouse in Washington and spending time with family.

Mr. Molinaro was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.

Surviving are brother Joseph (Claudia) Molinaro of Washington; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

In the later years of his life, he was taken care of by JP and Chris Molinaro and Roger Fisher.

Deceased are his first wife, Betty Deproski Molinaro; his second wife, Dora Iams Molinaro; son John Molinaro; daughter Janice Molinaro; and 16 brothers and sisters.

At the request of the deceased, services were private and conducted by the Rev. Sue Petritis. Arrangements were entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., Washington.
