Anna Mary Milkovich Czadankiewicz
Anna Mary Milkovich Czadankiewicz, 86, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 28, 2018, following an extended illness.
She was born August 15, 1932, in Strabane, a daughter of Enoch and Mary Sapp Staniszewski.
Anna Mary was a devout Roman Catholic and a member of St. Patrick Church, where she was a member of Christian Mothers.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She loved holidays and spending time with her family. She loved to bake, especially using her two favorite ingredients, zucchini and “punkin.” She also enjoyed reading, playing cards, going to the casino and Pittsburgh Steelers football. She was an active member of Canonsburg and Chartiers senior centers. In prior years, she enjoyed knitting and made beautiful Santa stockings for grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Anna Mary was employed by RCA Corp. and retired from Black Box Corp.
On August 16, 1952, she married John G. Milkovich, who passed away October 15, 1988. Their marriage was blessed with three daughters, Sandra (Donald) Teter of Morgantown, W.Va., Susan (the late Steve) Sinka of Harwick and Stephanie Milkovich of Rush Springs, Okla.; grandchildren David (Stephanie) Muhleman, Ryan (fiancée Crystal) Muhleman, Samuel Sinka, Steven (Lisa) Sinka and Susan (James) Eiben; and great-grandchildren Parker Muhleman, Steven Sinka, Matthew Sinka, Elizabeth Sinka and Nikolas Eiben. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
On May 19, 1990, she married Frank Czadankiewicz, who passed away June 17, 2007. Anna Mary was lovingly welcomed into Frank’s family and is survived by daughters Maxine Kopiec and Susan (Kirk) Hendal; grandaughters Shelby (John) McGrady and Michelle Kopiec; and great-grandaughters Riley McGrady and Paige Kopiec.
Anna Mary and Frank enjoyed traveling, visiting family and preparing combined family lamb picnics and Thanksgiving dinners, when they prepared both families’ favorites.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Enoch; sons-in-law David Muhleman and Steve Sinka; and grandaughter Alissa Muhleman.
The staff of North Strabane Retirement Village and Gallagher Hospice, especially Jen and Barb, provided her with wonderful care.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000, where departing prayers will be said at 9 a.m. Saturday, September 1. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 a.m. in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Canonsburg. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg. Christian Mothers will recite the Rosary at 3 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Anna Mary’s name to Frank Sarris Library or a charity of the donor’s choice.
