Donna Marie Carr
Donna Marie Carr, 75, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 30, 2018, in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born October 31, 1942, in Johnstown.
Donna was a faithful member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Mrs. Carr was a registered nurse, graduating from St. Francis Nursing School in Pittsburgh. She was employed for many years at Western Center in Canonsburg, until her retirement.
On October 2, 1965, she married Clarence M. “Dick” Carr, who passed away October 21, 2011.
She was an avid reader. She greatly enjoyed being a grandmother and spent as much time with her grandsons as she could.
Mrs. Carr is survived by her daughter, Margaret S. Carr of Canonsburg and her son, David C. Carr of Port Orange, Fla.; and her two grandsons, Matthew Verholtz and Dylan Price.
In addition to her parents and husband, deceased are her daughter, Mary Beth Verholtz, who passed away June 25, 2018, daughter Jennifer Marie Carr and her brother, Ronald Stevens.
Friends are welcome from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner/supervisor and Darla A. Tripoli, LFD, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 1. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery.
