William Bertolotti

William Bertolotti, 91, of Atlasburg, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born July 5, 1927, in McDonald, a son of the late Pete Bertolotti and Ida Mae Augustine Funari.

Mr. Bertolotti attended Union High School in Burgettstown.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during World War II as a seaman third class. He was honorably discharged in 1946.

He worked as a crane operator at Applied Energy Service for 40 years, retiring in 1992. He was working at Jake Snyder Bus Contractor of Atlasburg for 26 years, as of 2017.

Mr. Bertolotti was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Burgettstown, and Slovan Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He enjoyed spending time with family and working.

On July 2, 1949, he married Mary Novitsky, who died June 5, 2009.

Surviving Mr. Bertolotti are four daughters, Linda (John) Kover of Atlasburg, Pamela (George) Butcher of Charleston, S.C., Cynthia (Perry) Pirillo of Atlasburg and Denise (Joe) Murray of Atlasburg; six grandchildren, Kris Butcher, Melissa (David) Cecchini, Kristy (Jim) Rankin, Courtney Pirillo, Chelsea (Tyler) Pavan and Britney Murray; six great-grandchildren, Alexia Pirillo, Alivia and Abby Rankin and Kai, Blake and Luca Cecchini; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to his wife and parents, are two brothers, Robert and Peter Bertolotti, and a sister, Thelma Zimmer.

Services will be private. Interment will be in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
