Samuel David Wilson
Samuel David “Jersey” Wilson, 64, of Waynesburg, died peacefully at 9:57 a.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2018, in his home with his loving family by his side, following a three-month illness.
He was born Thursday, November 25, 1954, in Uniontown, a son of the late Ralph E. Wilson and Clara Pauline Moore Wilson.
Mr. Wilson enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching Steelers football and the beach. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and being at the family camp. He worked as a tractor-trailer truck driver for several companies.
He is survived by his wife, Leota Darlene Henderson Wilson, whom he married October 22, 1977.
Also surviving are a daughter, Dusty Marie (Jeff) Blake of Waynesburg; three sons, Shaun (Cynthia) Wilson of Waynesburg, Samuel David (Kara) Wilson II of Mt. Morris and Jonathan Carl (Keith) Fullerton of Waynesburg; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Paula Kiger of Waynesburg and Patsy (Carl) Trump of Waynesburg; brother Ralph E. (Karen) Wilson II of Waynesburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a sister, Penny Reagan.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of service, Saturday, December 22, in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, with Pastor Cathie Carpenter officiating. Burial will be private.
